Published in Encore magazine, December 2000. Dedication to Sher Farrell, a dear friend who is the founder and instructor of Kalamazoo College Ballet Theatre. Not only does Sher dance, but in June 2000, she took her vows as a Franciscan nun.

When asked to mark the difference from one art to the other devotion, she said there was none between a nun and ballerina, no line or boundary drawn from the calling of grace to the flight of the most graceful.
